Yoople! is a collaborative search engine. Its mission is to build humanized web searches thanks to everybody out there.
Yoople! = Yahoo + Google + People
We opted for Yahoo! Web Search Web Services because it works just fine! We have tried other services but they don't work as expected.
Yes. We are now working on Google Ajax Search API. In the future we will focus our efforts on new technologies as well.
The color of the shifts boxes is based on the comparison between the positions of the given results in Yoople! and Yahoo!:
We are working hard on our ideas in order to deliver the best solutions for the web search experience.
They are great. They have given everybody the chance to move through the web, unfortunately we have to accept what they say.
At Yoople! Project we want to give the power back to the people.
Guess this typical scenario: I search for a term, I receive my results back, I click on the first, then I click on the second and finally
on the third which I discover to be the best, unfortunately the search engine can't understand I prefer the third one.
With Yoople! I can tell everybody "ehy people!the third one is better! (at least to me...)" and at the end if many people move
the third, it could jump to the second or first position. In this way everybody can help to build a better indexing.
We need a use case and we are italian. Thanks to searches on pizza we will improve the math behind Yoople!.
We receive many requests for insertion in Yoople! index.
The answer is simple: if you can find your site in Yahoo!, then you'll find it in Yoople! as well.
No, unfortunately nope! Yoople! is an experimental project, with problems and limitations. What we do is to save the moved
results in a local database.
We think the best way to develop Yoople! is directly inside Yahoo! database (or any other search engine database) and receive
the results already modified from the source.
Well, it could be. Yoople! is a work in progress, at this beta stage we are focusing on the low level stuff, later on we will work on limitations and reliable changes to indexing. We have already thought about this, please wait the stable release.
Uhm! So sorry, please be patient and give us some hints...we would appreciate any kind of help!
Play with Yoople!, give us some feedback and spread Yoople! to the world!
